Historias Lodge has a convenient location close to Santa Elena town with beautiful grounds that feel authentically Costa Rican. However, the rooms can be quite dark and noisy, and the lack of air conditioning is a drawback. The service was exceptional, thanks to attentive staff who helped us organize activities. Overall, it's a decent option if you're looking for value for money, but comfort could be improved.

Our stay was enjoyable with a cozy atmosphere and friendly staff who genuinely cared about our experience. The location was a great balance; we could easily walk to town but enjoyed the peace away from the hustle. However, the room we got was dated, and the bathroom could use some modern updates. Also, there was some noise from the car park, which was a bit of a letdown.

We had a wonderful stay at Historias Lodge in Monteverde! The rooms were clean and comfortable, making for a cozy retreat after our adventures. Miguel, the host, was incredibly welcoming and went out of his way to ensure we had a memorable experience. The only downside was the steep walk back from town, which might be challenging for some. Overall, it was a fantastic value for money!

However, I did notice that the steep hill to get to Santa Elena could be quite challenging, and I had a small issue with a musty smell in one room during my stay.
